You see? Looks like a new addiction - Medieval bags :) Yes, I made another one and have been thinking about the next. Especially after reactions of people who saw them live, not only on etsy . Widzicie? Nowe uzależnienie - średniowieczne torby :) Tak, zrobiłam kolejną i myślę o następnych. Zwłaszcza po reakcjach ludzi, którzy widzieli je na żywo, a nie tylko na etsy . Of course when we talk "etsy" we think - pictures. Didn't find a good way to photograph them yet. But hey, I'm going step by step, right? Especially when other tasks keep me busy. And no, I'm not talking about the gray thing. There are some changes but I had to stop again: Oczywiście jak mówimy "etsy" to myślimy - zdjęcia. Nie wpadłam jeszcze na pomysł, jak je fajnie sfotografować. Ale zaraz, zaraz - krok po kroczku, prawda? Zwłaszcza jak inne sprawy wzywają. I nie, nie mówię tu o dużym szarym. One of my etsy's friends, Grace , gave me the great idea of incorporating my trees into bags. I loved this idea and here's the result. Jedna z moich etsowych koleżanek, Gracjana , podsunęła mi świetny pomysł, żeby robić moje okrągłe drzewka w formie torebek. Bardzo mi się on spodobał i oto efekt. More pictures you can see in my shop . Here I want to talk about something else. The ideas of bags were flying around my head from some time now. Last year was a great exhibition in Cracow totally devoted to bags. Unfortunately I couldn't see it but now I bought myself a catalog: Więcej zdjęć możecie zobaczyć w moim sklepie . A tutaj chciałabym opowiedzieć o czymś całkiem innym. Pomysły na torby chodziły mi po głowie już od dłuższego czasu. W ubiegłym roku była piękna torebkowa wystawa w Krakowie. Niestety, nie udało mi się jej obejrzeć, ale teraz kupiłam sobie jej katalog: Clever, isn't it? But it's not only a form, the content is great too: Sprytny, prawda? Ale świet

Haven't you seen a Christmas hen? Really??? Well, being on etsy you can see Christmas everywhere :) Co, nie widzieliście nigdy Bożonarodzeniowej kury? Naprawdę??? No cóż, na etsy można zobaczyć święta wszędzie :) So I'm trying to be en vogue too :) The teapot is the same as I made in summer with raspeberry . But now I have a nice magnet thingy so it is suitable for sale. Więc staram się też być en vogue :) Czajniczek jest taki sam jak ten uszyty latem, z malinką . Ale teraz mam lepszy magnes i całość już nadaje się do sprzedania.  Of course I know that you are much more interested in my bigger, grey project than in small etsy's pieces. So here it goes :) Domyślam się jednak, że o wiele bardziej ciekawi Was mój większy, szary projekt niż te etsowe drobiazgi. No to proszę bardzo :)  It is not so grey anymore :) And it is almost quilted :) Frankly speaking I would love to spend all my time on this, because I can't wait to see the final result.Oh well, just have to

   Just a quick note to let you know that I'm alive and kicking. And sewing too :) Wpadłam na chwilkę, tylko żebyscie wiedzieli, że żyję i działam. I szyję :)    This small piece is probably a side effect of a bigger one I started recently... Ta mała tkaninka to prawdopodobnie efekt uboczny większej, którą ostatnio zaczęłam... It's hard to work in grays while the outside is bursting with colors :) Trudno się pracuje w szarościach, gdy na zewnątrz tyle kolorów :)

Yes, the weather here is beautiful. And the mushrooms keep me busy in the kitchen. Tak, pogodę tutaj mamy piękną. A sezon grzybowy nie wypuszcza z kuchni. We eat them fresh and the challange is to find all the ways for different mushroom courses. Jemy je świeże, a wyzwanie polega na wyszukiwaniu nowych pomysłów na dania z grzybami. The picture above is of a nice (and yummy) pickled one, bought at the local market. Na zdjęciu powyżej prześliczny (i przepyszny) grzybek kwaszony, kupiony na rynku.   Do you remember her ? Now she helps me to develop some idea I was dreaming from a long time. Pamiętacie ją ? Teraz pomaga mi rozwinąć pewien pomysł, który chodzi za mną od baaardzo dawna. Yes, I'd like to have some images of my works printed on textiles for everyday use. I was doing this some years ago so now it's time to check new technologies in that matter. I think that the first try isn't bad. At least I know what should be changed to make it better :) Tak, chciałabym mie

Yes, you know that I'm interested in medieval art. But what you don't know is that the art above comes from XX century. And was created by the artist from my very own city, Lodz. O tym, że interesuję sie sztuką średniwieczną oczywiście wiecie. Ale nie wiecie, że sztuka prezentowana powyżej pochodzi z XX wieku. I że została stworzona przez artystę z mojego rodzinnego miasta, Łodzi. The name of the artist is Artur Szyk. Worldwide known artist, totally unknown here. He was a Polish Jew born in 1894 in Lodz. You can read about his interesting life HERE and see some more of his art HERE . For me, the most fascinating in Szyk's art is the way he used "medieval language" - illumination to talk about contemporary problems. And the problems he was concerned the most were the serious ones. Yes, I know, It's been a long time....... Some of you already worried if I'm ok. Thanks for this, I'm fine (and a small flu I'm going through right now doesn't count), but I'm verrrrrry busy. Mostly with the teapots, hens and things like this. Wiem, wiem, trochę mnie nie było...... Niektórzy się nawet martwili, czy wszystko ze mną w porządku. Bardzo za to dziękuję, jestem cała i zdrowa (a to jesienne przeziębienie, które mnie właśnie dopadło, się nie liczy), ale baaaaaaardzo zajęta.  Głównie czajniczkami, kurami i takimi tam. So on Friday I took some time off and went to our beloved Central Museum of Textiles for the opening of new exhibition "Just fabric?", but in fact, I went there to take a breath of fresh air/art.
