Here she is - the hen. "The Golden Hen". A oto i ona - kura. "Złota Kura". And another rooster for the company. I jeszcze jeden kogut do towarzystwa. This one may be for tights :) Ten może być na pończochy :)

Yes, she is coming along very smoothly. Now I have to add some feathers and she is almost done. Tak, kura idzie całkiem gładko. Teraz muszę dodać jej troszkę piórek i prawie gotowe. But she has an older "sister" - not done by me (unfortunately) but that's where mine came from, I guess. Ale ona ma starszą "siostrę" - nie mojego autorstwa (niestety), ale rozumiem, że moja powstała z tej właśnie inspiracji. (G. Dovanne - French artist I couldn't find anything about) (G. Dovanne - francuski artysta, o którym nic nie wiem) But there's something powerful in this pile of eggs. I like this idea so much that I want to develope it in a new project, without any hens or eggs :) Jest coś w tej stercie jaj. Tak mi się ten pomysł spodobał, że postanowiłam go rozwinąć w nowym projekcie, tym razem już bez jaj i kur :)

This one is a bit bigger - maybe for lingerie? Ten jest troszkę większy - może na bieliznę? And I've heard that it wasn't quite clear where my golden hen is. Hope this will help :) Aha, słyszałam, że to nie było takie całkiem jasne gdzie ta moja złota kura jest. To może to pomoże :)

... and hen, of course. ... i kura, oczywiście. Not to mention the eggs :) From time to time I dye fabrics myself. I'm not good at it but I like to do it. So here and there are some pieces of dyed fabrics with no particular destination. When I went through this one I immediately saw a big, golden hen sitting on the eggs. Sorry for the picture, the eggs' part is white (and I mean white) silk. Nie wspominając o jajkach :) Od czasu do czasu farbuje tkaniny. Nie jestem w tym dobra, ale lubię to robić. No więc potem mam gdzieniegdzie takie pofarbowane po nic kawałki. Jak znalazłam ten, to od razu zobaczyłam wielką złotą kurę siedzącą na górze jaj. Zdjęcie nie jest niestety najlepsze, część z jajkami to biały (naprawdę biały) jedwab.

My rooster is working for me :) He takes care of my bread. Mój kogut pracuje dla mnie :) Opiekuje się moim pieczywem. And here he is from the backside. A tak wygląda z tyłu. (photos: Olcha Grochowska) It is fun to make those little, colorful creatures. And now, when I found an idea to use them as a decoration of bags I can see the whole collection of Rooster Bags :) Fajnie się szyje te małe, kolorowe stworzonka. A teraz, kiedy znalazłam dla nich zastosowanie praktyczne, wyobrażam sobie całą kolekcję Kogucich Woreczków :)

Did you ever wonder how my works look from the backside? Here it is. The only missing element, sleeve for the hanging, is the most boring one so it comes in the very last minute :) Ciekawiło Was kiedyś jak wyglądają moje prace z tyłu? To zobaczcie. Jedyny brakujący element czyli rekaw do powieszenia jest zarazem najnudniejszy, więc doszywam go dopiero wtedy, kiedy juz naprawdę muszę :) And what about the new idea? Out of the blue I decided to play with... roosters and hens. Seems obvious, after all those eggs :) A co z nowym pomysłem? Ni stąd, ni zowąd postanowiłam pobawić się troszkę z kogutami i kurami. W sumie to chyba naturalne, po tych wszystkich jajach :) (photos: Olcha Grochowska)
